Hachimaru is a highly skilled yet blind swordman,and one of the Old Guard of Clan Shira Tancho. He is known for his sharp wit and his exemplary courage during the Demon Wars. He frequently pokes fun at his student, Shou. he is wise and is found a bit later in the story.
