Satoshi is described by Hiroshi as "A serial gambler, womanizer, and drinker. He's also a damn fine swordsman, a loyal friend, and one of the bravest warriors to serve the Shira Tancho." He served the Shira Tancho through the Demon Wars and many years after.
Still, Satoshi gets in a lot more trouble than the other members of the Old Guard. Deep in debt, his infamous behaviors make it difficult for him to get a regular work schedule. As such, he lives as a bounty hunter. in the story the player need to help satoshi pay his debt.
